Selected Maeve Chustar Works 2023-2024

For this project I wanted to create me and my bandmate Rayan in the Parappa the Rapper art style for our upcoming music compilation. I first started by drawing the characters in Photoshop by taking references from the original 2D renders of some characters, then I separated Rayan (the left character) into pieces that I would then rearrange in Blender and rescale (as you can see the 3D version of Rayan is a bit taller) and position them with bones assigned to each individual part. I also decided the background would be a liminal white void cause I thought it would look interesting and kinda lonely in contrast to the cartoony characters portrayed. At the end, I did some finishing touches in Photoshop and added text.

In all honesty, I just had an idea in my head and executed it without really making a moodboard or anything. In conclusion, this was fun to make and very interesting to work in such a unique art style! The full compilation album can be accessed with the spotify embed below!
